Grand National

The Grand National in Aintree is the biggest race in the Jump Season in the UK. The race, which is four and a half mile race, has over 30 fences and is arguably the toughest horse race in the world.

This site looks at the history and future of the Grand National, especially the 2008 race, which is especially special as this year is the European Capital of Culture, the most popular thing for the race is that most people - even non gamblers - have a little flutter on the race, especially now it’s become so easy with bookmakers springing up online.
